IFFCO Aonla manufactures Ammonia and Urea and houses two production units having a combined installed capacity of 3480 MTPD of Ammonia and 6060 MTPD of Urea. IFFCO Aonla Unit has been at the forefront of sustainable production, adopting the most stringent measures to maintain the ecological balance. The Unit is spread across 694.5 Acres.

Urea production Facility commissioned on 18th May 1988 with a production capacity of 2200MTPD

Ammonia production Facility commissioned on 15th May 1988 using the most advanced technology & producing 1350MTPD

Second production unit commissioned with a production capacity of 1350MTPD of Ammonia & 2200MTPD of Urea

Year 1996

Energy Savings Project was implemented in two phases between 2005 and 2007 reducing the composite energy consumption of urea in the Aonla Unit by 0.15 Gcal/T. Basic Engineering Consultant was M/s Haldor Topsoe, Denmark and Detail Engineering Consultant was M/s PDIL, Noida.

CO2 recovery technology adopted for Urea production, making IFFCO the first to adopt this technology in the Urea Industry in the country

Year 2006

Capacity enhancement project undertaken at Unit 2, increasing the production capacity to 1740MTPD of Ammonia & 3030MTPD of Urea.

Capacity enhancement project undertaken at Unit 1, increasing the production capacity to 1740MTPD of Ammonia & 3030MTPD of Urea.

Year 2008

Energy Savings project completed for IFFCO Aonla plant, reducing the composite energy consumption by 0.476 Gcal/MT Urea for Unit I & 0.441 Gcal/MT Urea for Unit II. Basic Engineering Consultant was M/s Casale, Switzerland and Detail Engineering Consultant was M/s PDIL, Noida.

Mr. Satyajit Pradhan Sr. General Manager is currently Working as plant Head of IFFCO Aonla Unit. Mr. Pradhan is a chemical Engineering graduate having vast a vast experience in various field like Project Management Engineering and Ammonia Plant Operation and has been instrumentation in execution of various project including OMIFCO Ammonia Plant Commissioning energy saving and capacity Enhancement and Carbon dioxide Recovery (CDR) Project .He has published Papers in national Fertiliser Journals and he has intubated immensely to the fertiliser Industry in his long career in IFFCO.
